Case Study: Garden Veranda Installed in Essex
Product Installed: Simplicity 6 Garden Veranda Roof Material: 6mm Toughened Glass Accessories: Decorative Gallows Brackets Frame Colour: Clay Brown – RAL 8003 Installation Date.
A domestic customer in Essex, had an upcoming garden party and was worried that the unpredictable weather may spoil their celebrations and possibly cause them to cancel at the last minute. After careful consideration they came to the conclusion that a garden veranda would be the perfect solution, and if they were to get a permanent structure they wouldn’t have to worry about taking it down on windy days, it would require minimal maintenance and last for many, many years to come.
A permanent structure would mean they could also benefit from it all year round, allowing them to enjoy their garden no matter what the weather has to offer.
We received an email from the customer who used our quick quote request form, asking for a price for the Simplicity 6 glass veranda. After sending a price through, one of our surveyors visited the gentlemen’s home to undertake a free area survey. This allowed us to assess the area to ensure that there was a suitable wall and ground to fix to and that we are offering a product that fits the customers’ needs the best.
During this meeting, we was also able to use our RAL chart to personally match the colour of the veranda to the colour of the existing window frames as desired.
The customer required a veranda that was 10m long so that it would cover the length of his house however, there was a brick build shed installed in his garden that was causing a slight obstruction. The customer wanted to keep the area in front of the shed clear, yet still achieve a 10m length on the veranda.
Because we manufacture our systems to order, we were able to produce a structure that had the full 10m length as required with a split eaves beam, resulting in a 3m projection that reduced to 2m adjacent to the shed.
The customer wanted to add an ornate and decorative feature to the veranda yet wasn’t keen on the idea of the full Victorian Upgrade as their house had a modern appearance. We therefore suggested the decorative gallows brackets which are part of the Victorian Upgrade, yet can also be sold separately. The customer loved the idea of this and was very pleased with the finished installation.
The installed veranda fitted in with the garden and the
house perfectly and was installed in time for their party, which was a relief for the customer as it dramatically reduced the stress of their party planning.
“We chose you because you were competitive in price range and specialised in verandas and canopies.
“There was a good choice of colours and in the end we got an exact match to the Windows and door frames which is what we required.
“The installation was carried out to a high standard and the installer was very professional with attention to detail and everything was left clean and tidy on completion.
The veranda has made a big difference to our property and it has created a great outside space all year around. In warm weather it’s great for eating outside and to entertain and in cooler or wetter weather can still be used to sit outside in the garden with some shelter.”
